230 years

In 1796, in the heart of Bologna, the first “Laboratorio di Cose Dolci” (Sweet Things Laboratory) was founded, destined to make Italian chocolate history. Today, in 2026, Majani celebrates 230 years of excellence and is the oldest chocolate factory in Italy still in operation, run by the same family for nine generations.

From Scorza in 1832, Italy’s first solid chocolate, to the famous Cremino Fiat, created in 1911 as a tribute to elegance, to the chocolate Tortellino, a tribute to our city: every Majani creation is a page in our history.
