Type Four,

Four Layers

Fiat’s new car was called “Type 4,” hence the layer number of our Cremino. Fiat wanted a special chocolate to gift each customer who bought their new car, as an exclusive cadeau.

Inimitable

Recipe

Cremino Fiat is made up of 43% Italian hazelnuts and almonds, which makes it extra creamy, and the secret recipe has remained the same since 1911.

Immediate

Success

The idea of this cadeau, suggested by Gabriele D’Annunzio to the Agnelli family, was one of the first marketing strategies in Italy: matching a custom-made chocolate with the debut of a new product. Since then, it was so successful that Fiat was happy to continue this “gentlemen’s agreement.” Every year we produce about 5 million of them, only in the classic flavor.

A plunge into

History

Anna Majani and Giovanni Agnelli
A curiosity that Miss Anna Majani liked to share, is that one evening she was at a big dinner with “L’Avvocato” Giovanni Agnelli, the then President of Fiat, who said to her, “Miss Majani, you have sold more Fiat labels on chocolates than we have on cars!”.
